Amanda and Romeo met in 2006 when they began working together. Or how Amanda explains it, she became his boss. After about a year of finding each other totally annoying, they one day decided that the other one wasn’t that bad and began hanging out. Almost three years later, they’ve realized they might just like each other.

Together, they love all things outdoors: camping, riding bikes, flying kites and hiking. But one of their favorite things to do together is eating great food. Whether at a fancy restaurant or cooking at home, they enjoy the adventure of discovering new flavors, learning new cooking techniques, and spending time together at the dinner table. They often like to find new places to eat, and rarely miss the Wednesday morning Santa Monica Farmer’s Market.

While neither Romeo or Amanda have any formal culinary training, they both love to cook. They started the WeCanCookThat blog to expand their knowledge of the culinary arts, test the skills of their taste buds and share their enthusiasm of food with others.

Amanda was born and raised in Arkansas. After going to college in Texas, she moved out to Los Angeles in 2003. Some of her favorite foods are: a bowl of macaroni and cheese, a juicy steak, yellow tail sushi, a creamy asparagus risotto, crème brulee and a nice glass of zinfadel wine.

Romeo is a native to sunny California and attended college in San Francisco. While Romeo has rarely tasted a food he doesn’t enjoy, his favorites include: duck a’la orange, funnel cake, saag paneer, hot sauce and anything spicy.
